New Forms of Information Supply

28 February to 1 March 2005

An ASA Conference

Royal College of Nursing, 20 Cavendish Square, London, UK

In the rapidly changing world of information supply, it is useful to take a look at the requirements which libraries of all kinds, academic, health, corporate and government, have for the future. Will virtual libraries, founded on large licensed bundles of content, be the future; or is there still a role for selectivity and holdings? How can these licences be made global and cost effective for all types of organisation, or will the emergence of institutional repositories and open access reduce the need for licensed material? Some of the world’s leading experts from consortia, libraries, publishers and intermediaries give their views and debate the future with you.
